China's envoy takes Taiwan in his stride
It was a rough - albeit landmark - five-day visit to Taiwan for China's envoy Chen Yunlin - the highest-ranking Chinese official to visit since 1949. He was called a "communist bandit" and told to "get out" by the thousands of protesters who dogged his every step. No matter, at departure he thanked police for his safety and said, "I love Taiwan."
